About Us

Jesus Comes First Ministries began in July of 2009 by sharing the Gospel to county jail residents. This sharing of Jesus Christ's message of salvation grew into a need for continued scripture teaching. Due to the short term of most county jail residents, we needed to find a basic Bible study that could be completed quickly but delivered the truths of God's Word. We prayed that God would show us just what we needed in this setting and He did.

Once given the message of salvation, a Bible Basics For Beginners study is offered to those who have a desire to learn the truths of God's Holy Word. In this process, it was revealed that this short term contact was just "well" too short term. Many individuals asked about continueing the studies after leaving jail. Not only the need for continued Bible studies, but also a forum for continuing fellowship. After careful concideration, it was decided that a wesite would be an excellent method of providing both the Bible study needs and the fellowship connection.

As of March of 2010, there have been a total of 42 people (men & women) who have heard the good news of Jesus Christ. (Thanks, Way of the Master!) And 36 of those continued a Bible study afterward until their release date. As the residents change, we anticipate more people hearing the message of salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ and moving forward with the Bible Basics For Beginners studies.

It is the mission of Jesus Comes First Ministries to provide access to free Bible Basics For Beginners courses for more than the residence of the local county jail. We pray that the persons who have already benefited from this ministry, will share with others the salvation of Jesus Christ and the studies that can be taken for free here at Bible Basics For Beginners.

Luke 10:2 Then He said to them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He may send forth laborers into His harvest.

The Bible Basics For Beginners studies are for new believers and those who are seeking to learn the basic foundation of the Christian faith. These studies can be provided through correspondence course or the internet by becoming a registered user of this site. This study is not intended for learned Christians and we would be more than happy to help redirect you to a site that is free and provides a more in depth study of the Word of God. We are thankful to the Lord our God who has given us eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is by grace that we are saved through faith in Him. Jesus is the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but through Him. This site is His and Jesus Comes First Ministries' goal is to glorify Jesus through it.
